Instructional Programs
Adult Basic Education (ABE)
Adult learners have the opportunity to develop practical skills, employment preparation strategies and to build a strong foundation in reading, writing, language, mathematics, English usage, grammar, communication skills, technology training and job-seeking skills.
Business Skills (Computer Classes)
Students learn about computers and computer technology through classes covering the Internet and industry-standard software.
English as a Second Language (ESL)
Provides instruction in English from beginning to intermediate levels and is offered at various locations throughout the community for non-native speakers of English.
High School Subjects and GED
Provides courses necessary to obtain a high school diploma through both traditional and individualized instruction methods.
Heatlh & Safety
Provides information and a discussion forum related to current and relevant health and safety topics, issues, and /or concerns. Focus of this section is on heath and wellness. Open entry/ open exit.
Issues and Concepts
Provides information related to topics of everyday interest and importance to adults with developmental disabilities. Examines issues of relevance and provides a forum for discussion and exploration of various topics.
Class Discontinuance Policy: Any class in which there is not a total of at least 20 students enrolled by the beginning of instruction may be discontinued. Any class which does not maintain satisfactory attendance may be discontinued.
