English & Reading
The College Test for English Placement (CTEP) is for students who have studied English and/or English as a Second Language (ESL) in school for at least seven years or who use English frequently on a daily basis. This test is designed to assess students' skills in reading and writing.
The Reading Comprehension portion of the test consists of seven reading selections and 35 multiple choice questions.
The Sentence Structure and Grammar portion of the test contains 40 fill in the blank questions, which test both grammar and comprehension.

You must schedule your English and Math Placement Tests by contacting SCC's High School & Community Outreach office at (714) 628-4808.
DO NOT SCHEDULE YOUR TESTS via the TESTING CENTER WEBPAGE!
