Outstanding Independent Colleges and Universities
In addition to state supported colleges and universities in California, there are many outstanding independent colleges and universities in our state and throughout the country. Santiago Canyon College students can be eligible to transfer to many of these institutions.
Each college or university has its own unique requirements for admission. In order to determine eligibility, students should obtain a copy of the the transfer university catalog and consult with an SCC counselor.
Santiago Canyon maintains articulation agreements with many local universities. For information on specific articulation agreements please make an appointment with an SCC counselor or visit the SCC Transfer Center.
Many private/independent universities give credit for general education courses taken at Santiago Canyon College and for courses designed for transfer to the University of California. Completion of Plan C/IGETC will meet general education requirements for many universities.
