TAP Certification for UCLA Admission
If you are applying to UCLA for Fall 2010 as a TAP student, then you need to be TAP certified by February 18, 2010. TAP certification is available to you if you have completed or will be completing the SCC Honors Program, and if you are applying to a major in the College of Letters and Science.
To receive certification from the SCC Honors Program you will need to have a counseling appointment with Sharon Wright between February 8 and February 18, 2010. You may schedule an appointment by calling the counseling appointment desk (714) 628-4800, at least two week in advance, and by identifying yourself as a TAP student.
Prior to your TAP certification appointment all official transcripts from other institutions you may have attended need to be on file with the SCC Admissions and Records office; all necessary evaluations need to have been completed; and all AP scores need to be on file with the Admissions and Records office. Do not wait until the last minute to schedule an appointment.
Begin completing the TAP form prior to your counseling appointment. You may leave inforamtion that you are unsure of blank. Save the form and email wright_sharon@sccollege.edu with the form as an attachment. In the subject area of your email to Sharon, type your name and "TAP certification form " in the subject area. You can edit your form during your counseling appointment.
