Santiago Canyon College Schedules Additional Classes

Orange (Jan. 2, 2011) —Santiago Canyon College has opened registration for more than 18 classes that are set to begin February 14.

Although the spring semester began January 24, these recently added classes will last 12 weeks and conclude at the end of the semester, May 20. Additional eight-week classes are available and will begin March 28.

About 800 seats are available for classes in Anthropology, Sociology, Political Science, History, Nutrition, Mathematics, Psychology, Music, Criminal Justice, Business, and Art. All of the added sections are high demand, general education areas that will transfer to the University of California and California State University systems. Some of the courses will be available in an online format.

“By operating efficiently in this time of tight budgets, we have redirected savings to make more classes available,” said SCC President Juan Vázquez. “We know students are struggling to get the classes they need, and we’re trying to help.”
