UCI Law Dean to Speak at Santiago Canyon College
Orange—Erwin Chemerinsky, noted legal scholar and the founding dean of the School of Law at the University of California Irvine will speak at Santiago Canyon College in Orange, February 15.
Chemerinsky will be speaking about his newest book, The Conservative Assault on the Constitution. He has written six other books and nearly 200 law review articles. In addition, he is a frequent contributor to newspapers and other magazines and serves as a commentator on legal issues for national and local media. He chaired the elected Los Angeles Charter Reform Commission, which drafted a new city charter, adopted by voters in 1999.
Chemerinsky frequently argues appellate cases, including in the United States Supreme Court and the United States Courts of Appeals.
Limited seating is available for the lecture, which will begin at 10:15 a.m. in room SC-105. The appearance is hosted by the Santiago Canyon College Speaker’s Symposium.
