Instructional Programs
Adult Basic Education (ABE)
Adult learners have the opportunity to develop practical skills, employment preparation strategies and to build a strong foundation in reading, writing, language, mathematics, English usage, grammar, communication skills, technology training and job-seeking skills.
Citizenship
Teaches basic knowledge of local, state, and federal government in preparation for the United States Citizenship examination, including language development within the context of history and government. Students are required to take the ESL assessment if not currently enrolled in ESL level Begining 3 or higher. OEC now offers FREE assistance with the CITIZENSHIP APPLICATION PROCESS.

English as a Second Language (ESL)
Provides instruction in English from beginning to intermediate levels and is offered at various locations throughout the community for non-native, English-speaking adults.
Business Skills (Computer Classes)
Students learn about computers and computer technology through classes covering the Internet and industry-standard software.
High School Subjects and GED
Provides courses necessary to obtain a high school diploma through both traditional and individualized instruction methods.
Interactive Learning Resource Center (ILRC)
Provides English as a Second Language students an opportunity to practice their language skill development in an interactive, multi-media environment.
Older Adult Program
A variety of personal enrichment classes are offered. Classes in Physical Fitness.
Class Discontinuance Policy: Any class in which there is not a total of at least 20 students enrolled by the beginning of instruction may be discontinued. Any class which does not maintain satisfactory attendance may be discontinued.
