Assessment Center

 

English as a Second Language Assessment Procedures

Individuals interested in taking classes in the ESL program must first take a placement assessment before enrolling into a class. The assessment is given to help determine which class level would be best for the learner. The assessment takes approximately two hours.

Assessment days for the SUMMER 2014 semester     

  • Monday at 1:30 pm (Please arrive by 1:00 pm) 
  • Wednesday at 1:30 pm (Please arrive by 1:00 pm)
  • Friday  at 8:30 am (Please arrive by 8:00 am)

To schedule an appointment for assessment, please visit the OEC Provisional Education Facility, 1937 W. Chapman Ave., Suite 200 (2nd floor), Orange, CA 92868
or for more information call (714) 628-5900. Individuals do not need to bring anything with them to the assessment. 

***Please note; there are no children permitted in the testing room or left unattended within the school grounds.

High School Program Assessment Procedures
Students must first take a placement assessment to register for High School, Adult Basic Education and Reading classes.         
The test takes approximately three hours and is given on Mondays and Wednesdays.
 
Assessment days for the SUMMER 2014 semester
  • Monday at 1:00 pm (Please arrive by 12:30pm)  
  • Wednesday at 1:00 pm (Please arrive by 12:30pm)  
 Individuals should bring unofficial school transcripts on the assessment date, if available. Once a student has taken the assessment, he or she will be asked to schedule an appointment with a counselor to review the assessment results and enroll in classes.
