Circulation Policy - VHS / DVD
Patrons may borrow 2 VHS/DVD titles. (not 2 VHS and 2 DVD)
If a title consists of no more than two tapes or disks, the patron may check out a second title.
If a title consists of three or more tapes or disks, they will not be permitted to check out a second VHS/DVD title.
Video/DVD “media cards” have been placed in the stacks indicating that the library has that title available for circulation at the front desk.
The patron can bring the “media card” to the circulation desk and request the video they wish to borrow. The media card will then be placed on the shelf in the media room in place of the VHS/DVD that they have requested. The video is then checked out to the patron.
A patron can also request a video or DVD without the “ media card”. The item can be retrieved and checked out to the patron. The “media card” will not be retrieved from the stacks.
Should a patron bring a “media card” to the circulation desk and request a video which has already been checked out, we will offer to place a hold on the said video or DVD for them. They will be notified when the title is returned and available for them to borrow.
