CERTIFICATE OF ACHIEVEMENT
A Certificate of Achievement (18 or more units or state approved under 18 units) is a verification of achievement in a particular academic or occupational area. When a Certificate of Achievement is earned it will be recorded on the official transcript.
Unit and Residency Requirements
· A cumulative GPA of at least a 2.0
· A minimum of 12 units completed at Santiago Canyon College
o At least 6 units must be in courses required for the Certificate of Achievement
Certificate of Achievement Requirements
· Complete major courses as outline in the catalog for a program approved as a Certificate of Achievement
· At least a “C” grade is required in each course taken for the certificate, unless otherwise specified
· A Pass grade in a course is acceptable toward the Certificate of Achievement if it is required and
o If it is offered on a Pass/No Pass basis only, or
o If the credit grade is earned on the basis of credit by examination

Students must submit a petition for Certificate of Achievement

CERTIFICATE
A Certificate (under 18 units and not state approved) is a verification that the necessary coursework was completed in a subject matter. A certificate is distributed by the corresponding division and is not recorded on transcripts.
