WELCOME

Welcome to the Santiago Canyon College Child Development Center’s website. We have developed this webpage to give you some insight into our program.  The Center’s environment embraces the family and nurtures the child.  We recognize the importance of relationships between Teachers, Parents, Faculty and Students. We are accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) and we are a Five Star Quality Center.  We are also governed by the California State Department of Education Child Development Division Desired Results standards as well as the Department of Social Services Title 22.  We serve as a teacher training site for the child development programs at the college.

Our program is Developmental and learning activities are provided to promote optimal physical, social, emotional and cognitive growth for each child.  The environment is prepared in such a way that each child may actively interact with people and materials that allow for the development of independence, decision-making, socialization and positive self-esteem.
