On one hand, the Business and Professional Services sector is Orange County's largest, employing nearly 255,000* people and accounting for over 18 percent of the county's total payroll employment.
On the other, tech industry employment in the Los Angeles-Orange County Metropolitan Statistical Area totaled 288,000 while occupations totaled 298,000, suggesting a regional shortfall of nearly 10,000 jobs in 2017, according to CompTIA, the world's leading technology trade group.

SCC students can choose from career-focused degree and certificate options in Accounting, Business, Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, Management, and Marketing.
In addition, a “stackable" certificate pathway allows students to earn certificates in Computerized Accounting and General Accounting while completing classes that can lead to an Associate degree in Business Administration.
