The Associate in Arts in Psychology for Transfer degree prepares student to transfer to a four-year institution leading to a baccalaureate degree for specialization in any of more than twenty branches of psychology including: child, clinical, personality, vocational, marriage and family counseling, industrial, mental health, and college teaching. Completion of the two-year program is appropriate for students whose vocational plans include helping people, i.e., teaching, social welfare, probation, criminology, nursing, law, and personnel work. Successful completion of the transfer degree in Psychology guarantees the student acceptance to the California State University system to pursue a baccalaureate degree in Psychology or a related field.
