The Web Committee has taken on the task to produce a completely new look and feel for the Santiago Canyon College website. During last summer, the web redesign subgroup of the Web Committee began initial steps towards compiling a web design implementation plan. Meeting twice a month, the redesign group came up with a detailed task-oriented plan to produce a web design prototype by the end of Fall 2013. This plan includes incorporating input from students, prospective students, staff, faculty, and management, as well as reviewing award winning sites, defining design specifications, and building a design wire frame. Design approval from the Web and Technology Committees is included as part of this process. In addition, raising awareness by communicating this project's status at college council, academic senate and the campus community at large has been a priority. Once the web design prototype is fully approved, ITS will move on implementing it into the SharePoint 2010 web engine. The plan is to have the new SCC website go live by May 19, 2014, in time for The Accreditation team visit.
