The ACE Program
The following chart shows the sequence of courses in the ACE program as well as how many units each course is, how many hours each one meets per week, and which additional courses ACE/ESL students at SCC are advised to take for each level. Not all courses are offered each semester.
Note: If an Additional Course is marked as "ESL," it is a noncredit, tuition-free course for resident students.

Chapman Ave., Orange, (714) 628-5900. SCC also has an on-campus office for Continuing Education students in U-80. Nonresident or I-20 students will be referred to the English Language Program through the International Students' Office. ADVANCED ACE 116 4 units, 6 hours/week Introduction to Composition ACE 116 students are strongly advised to also enroll in Reading 101, 102, 129 or 130. Students who complete ACE 116 with a "C" or better can enroll in English 100 or 101--both are Freshman Composition courses and satisfy the graduation and transfer requirements. | Qualifying Placement Profile or grade of C or better in ACE 102 Students from Santa Ana College should qualify for EMLS 110 or 112.
