​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​Astronomy 102: Stars and Galaxies (section #04814​) will meet Monday through Thursday from 9:00 am to 12:20 pm from Janu​ary​​ 3 to January 27, 2021.  This class will be held as an online remote class (meaning, it will meet over zoom).  For more information, please see webadvisor​​.  

Astronomy explores various topics including the history and development of Astronomy, our solar system and the planets within it, our Sun, stars, the Milky Way, Galaxies, and Cosmology. There are new discoveries made everyday. Students will have an opportunity to explore some these discoveries in their classes.

• Astronomy 112: Cosmology​
  

All courses satisfy general education requirements, and the Astronomy Lab course satisfies the physical science lab requirement.  Astronomy 102, 103, 112 and 101L will give students a good foundation from which they can pursue their own career in Astronomy.
