Our Full-time Faculty

In the Psychology Department, we have three full-time professors who possess a diverse skill set and knowledge base.


Emma Roe Breeden, Associate Professor & Department Chair

​​With a background in Social Work and Clinical Psychology, Professor Roe Breeden provides instruction primarily in the following courses: Introduction to Psychology (PSYC 100), Child Psychology (PSYC 157), Psychology of Human Sexuality (PSYC 190), Psychology of Adjustment (PSYC 230), and Abnormal Psychology (PSYC 250).


Dr. Cari Cannon, Professor

With a background in Experimental Psychology, Dr. Cannon provides instruction primarily in the following courses: Introduction to Psychology (PSYC 100), Child Psychology (PSYC 157), Biological Psychology (PSYC 200), and Research Methods (PSYC 220).

Dr. Christine Umali Kopp, Professor

​​​With a background in Cultural Psychology, Dr. Umali Kopp provides instruction primarily in the following courses: Introduction to Psychology (PSYC 100), Lifespan Psychology (PSYC 160), Multicultural Psychology (PSYC 170), Psychology of Gender (PSYC 180), and Social Psychology (PSYC 240)​. 

In her courses, Dr. Umali Kopp emphasizes a social justice focus​. She explores how we can build bridges of understanding, identifying ways to help​ enhance our interactions with and empathy for others.
