To be eligible for Upward Bound Math and Science TRiO Program, the student had to be one of the following:
- First Generation: Parent or guardian must not have completed a bachelor degree.
- Low income: Please see table
Students must also be:
- Enrolled in targeted schools: Orange High School or El Modena High School
- Interested in a STEM (Science Technology Engineering & Math) degrees, majors, or careers
