A Christmas Carol Runs December 2-10 at Santiago Canyon College

11/16/2017

(Orange, CA) - Santiago Canyon College (SCC) invites the community to its production of A Christmas Carol. Doris Baizley’s creative telling of the classic Dickens ghost story, A Christmas Carol, is a unique recreation of the ever-popular Christmas tale. Originally developed by the Center Theatre Group’s Mark Taper Forum in Los Angeles, the Performing Arts Department at SCC is excited to bring this creative interpretation to life in its Black Box Theatre.

Baizley has created a fast-paced world complete with the beloved Dickens characters and plot line, but told as a play-within-a-play. A small Commedia dell’arte troupe of English actors is touring small-town America, performing their unique production of A Christmas Carol. Make time to enjoy this hilarious, yet heart-warming production that remains true to Dickens, including the transformation of Ebenezer Scrooge from curmudgeon to enlightenment.
