Santiago Canyon College provides resources to cover the cost of tuition, books and more

(Orange, CA) – Santiago Canyon College (SCC) is making it easier for students to enroll in classes by providing resources to cover the cost of tuition, offering free books, free bus transportation and distributing bookstore gift cards for Spring semester 2022.

Students will need to meet specific criteria to take advantage of this financial support and money for books. Students who are fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and submit proof of vaccination are also eligible for a $200 gift card to the SCC Bookstore.

“We know the pandemic has affected college students in unprecedented ways and created barriers for many who wished to attend college," said SCC Vice President of Student Services Dr. Melba Castro. “SCC is mobilizing wrap-around holistic support that includes financial resources to empower students with the resources and finances to assist with their success and completion. By supporting students financially, we are helping to make college a reality and removing potential financial barriers such as costs of tuition, fees, books and more."

Spring semester starts on February 7, and there is still time to enroll. Everyone is encouraged to apply and complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), California Dream Act Application (CADAA) or the California College Promise Grant (CCPG).
