Private/Out-of-State University Resources

​​​​ If you are considering transferring to an out-of-state and/or private university the following resources can assist you in your search.  Many of the links provide helpful resources and more information on specific institutions.  If you have questions about transfer admissions requirements to a particular college/university please schedule an appointment with someone from the Transfer Success Center.

  

Association of Independent California Colleges and Universities (AICCU)

  • The AICCU is comprised of 78 private nonprofit colleges and universities.  Institutions include USC, Stanford, Chapman university, and many others.  This website provides a college guide and other resources to help you learn more about the institutions.

  • A website that provides a college search guides including out-of-state institutions and resources related to transfer, financial aid, etc.

Western Undergraduate Exchange (WUE)

www.wiche.edu/wue

  •  WUE is coordinated by WICHE and is a regional tuition-reciprocity agreement that enables students from WICHE states, which includes California, to enroll in participating four-year public institutions at 150 percent of the enrolling institution's resident tuition.  This can provide a savings for students considering an out-of-state option.  Please visit the link for a list of participating institutions​​, the participating majors, and requirements for obtaining the reduced tuition rate.

  • This page lists articulation agreements with some local private universities.  It is strongly recommended to see a counselor in the Counseling Department for assistance with selecting coursework for transfer.
