Description:
This beginning course will instruct students in the art of 3D animation with the use of the popular animation software Blender. Students will begin with an introduction to the various context sensitive keyboard shortcuts in order to navigate the interface and powerful tools with ease. This will lead to the first fundamental stage in 3D: modeling and texturing.  Students will use Blender's tools to create 3D objects and assign visual attributes to them such as opacity, glossiness, and color.  Next, students will learn how to light these objects in a virtual scene.  Finally, they will bring their scenes to life by animating these objects and/or the camera, and outputting the results to video. The course is specifically intended for students with little to no prior experience, or are new to Blender. PLEASE BRING A USB TO CLASS
