If you or a loved one has just been diagnosed with cancer, your response to the news was likely a mix of emotions. Initially, you might have been shocked or in disbelief. Learning more about ways to manage the landscape of physical changes, emotions and stress of cancer treatment to help you through this journey will help empower you so that you and your loved ones can experience a vibrant and fulfilling life journey. You do not have to face cancer alone and this class is designed to discuss and explore techniques to improve quality of life and recovery along the way. Each class will include stress-reducing gentle breathing and meditation to leave you feeling relaxed and restored. 
Topics covered will include: 
Managing Emotions - How to cope with the emotional side effects of cancer and its treatment 
Physical, Emotional and Social Effects of Cancer - Also called palliative care and supportive care.
Reducing symptoms- improving quality of life and supporting patients and their families. 
Talking with Friends and FamilyHow cancer affects loved ones 
Techniques to Manage Stress and Anxiety -Learn healthy coping skills/techniques to reduce stress, relax & restore energy. 
Caring for a Loved One - Tips on caregiving and coping with a loved one's cancer 
Finding Social Support and Information - Resources for cancer support
