Yoga exercises will help you gain strength, increase flexibility and balance while focusing your awareness on your body, breath, and mind. We will practice standing poses, floor exercises, and flowing movements. We will offer modifications and the use of props (blocks, straps, and chairs) so that everyone can participate and work at their own pace. You should be able to do floor exercises and get up easily. Each class will end with yoga breathing exercises and meditation followed by deep relaxation. Wear loose clothing and bring a non-slippery yoga mat and a firm blanket. Yoga is practiced barefoot, so please remove your shoes at and be prepared to take your socks off.
