SCC Annual Community Soccer Night

Saturday, September 2nd, 6:30pm

Santiago Canyon College Women's Soccer Annual Community Night will be held on Saturday, September 2nd at 6.30pm on campus. If you have a daughter or niece, or friends across the street who have girls who play soccer, or simply you've still got Tournament of Nations Fever', this is an opportunity to come and support the Hawks team and watch some college soccer. Hawks Pick up 8th Mercy Rule Win

The Santiago Canyon College Softball team defeated Grossmont College 13-0 on Monday in a non-conference matchup.  The win improves the Hawks to an overall record of 18-6-1.  The win was decided by the mercy rule after 5 innings, this is the 8th mercy rule win of the year for SCC.  Kristen Piazza recorded the win in the circle throwing a complete game shutout.  Piazza held Grossmont to only 4 hits on the day while striking out 3 hitters.  One of the strikeouts was recorded on a 21 pitch at bat while Piazza improves to 11-3 on the year. Hawks Drop Non-Conference Game

The Santiago Canyon College Softball Team dropped a non-conference game to El Camino College on Monday.  Kristen Piazza recorded the 11-4 loss in the circle after coming in during the first inning and working the Hawks out of a bases loaded jam.  She pitched 5 scoreless innings before surrendering 7 runs in the 6th inning.  Alyssa Slater threw the final inning allowing 1 run on 2 hits. Hawks Add Another Conference Win

The Santiago Canyon College Softball Team defeated Riverside City College at home on Wednesday.  The win improves the Hawks Orange Empire Conference record to 5-1 and 12-3-1 overall.  Alyssa Slater and Kristen Piazza shared time in the circle with Piazza picking up the win throwing 4 innings while allowing only 3 hits.  The win improves her overall record to 6-1.
