Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Apprenticeship

Learn. Earn. Serve.

What Is an Apprenticeship?

An apprenticeship combines paid, hands-on training with classroom instruction. As an apprentice, you will learn from experienced professionals while gaining the skills needed for your career.

With an apprenticeship, you earn while you learn. You will receive a paycheck from your first day of work while completing your training at no cost to you.

CNA Apprenticeship

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Apprenticeship at Santiago Canyon College Continuing Education combines classroom instruction with paid, hands-on training to prepare students for a career in healthcare. Through partnerships with local employers, apprentices gain valuable work experience while developing the skills needed to become Certified Nursing Assistants.

About the Program

The CNA Apprenticeship is part of Santiago Canyon College Continuing Education's healthcare career pathway, providing students with an opportunity to learn in the classroom while earning valuable workplace experience.

For many students, the pathway begins with SCC Continuing Education's Caregiver/Personal Aide program, where they develop the foundational caregiving skills that support success in the apprenticeship. Students who already possess comparable caregiver education or experience may also be eligible to enter the apprenticeship, subject to employer and program requirements.

Whether you are beginning your healthcare career or building on existing experience, SCC Continuing Education offers programs designed to support your professional growth.

Program Benefits

Participants in the CNA Apprenticeship have the opportunity to:

  • Earn while they learn through paid on-the-job training.
  • Gain real-world healthcare experience with employer partners.
  • Complete related classroom instruction while developing workplace skills.
  • Prepare for employment as a Certified Nursing Assistant.
  • Build a foundation for continued education and career advancement in healthcare.
