About Us: When a student completes all of the course work needed to earn a state certificate, graduation services will confirm all requirements have been met. Once confirmed, a certificate will be issued to the student. The high school diploma is an example of a state-approved certificate.
Students can earn a state-approved certificate in the following areas:
- Adult Basic Education
- Adults with Special Needs
- Career Education
- English as a Second Language
- High School Diploma GED/HiSET Prep
- Workforce Preparation

Adult High School Diploma FAQs
Diplomas are printed once a year at the end of the Spring semester. When you file
your graduation petition you will receive instructions about diploma distribution.
You can petition for a high school diploma when you are 10 credits away from completing.
Schedule an online or an in-person appointment as soon as possible with a counselor.

Diplomas are normally sent by mail unless other arrangements are made with the graduation
office.
Transcripts are available once you have completed all the required work and your graduation
petition has been processed by the graduation office.

State Certificate FAQs
State certificates are auto awarded at the end of the each semester. Notification
is sent via email.
Certificates are offered in a digital format. Once you earn a certificate you will
receive an email notification 1-2 weeks after the semester ends.
