Individuals interested in taking classes in the ESL Program take a placement assessment before enrolling into a class. The student's score on the assessment determines the appropriate level of English class. The assessment and orientation take approximately two hours.

Specialty Class Options
No prior learning experience in English, is required. Students learn to recognize and use common English words.
Learners develop the basics of spoken and written English.
Students increase communication skills, vocabulary development, and grammar accuracy.
ESL Civics/Citizenship (ESL-120) -
Introduces students to U.S. citizenship and the naturalization process, U.S. history, government, and prepares students for the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services USCIS interview and exam.
(Elective class) Preparación para pasar el examen oral y escrito de ciudadanía. Los estudiantes aprenderán historia, gobierno y el proceso de naturalización de los Estados Unidos. (Clase electiva)
