Computer Resources

​​​​Library​ computers provide access to the Internet, library research tools and resources, and selected software programs [SEE  Library Computer Applications "].  The "Student Innovation Zone," i.e., SIZ, provides a computer space for students to:  1) experiment and create digital contents; and 2) access course-specific software programs available on the SIZ Macs and/or PCs.

Desktop computers and wireless laptops are available to SCC students, faculty, and staff; community members have access to the desktop computers.  Computers with adaptive technology software are available to accommodate users with special needs.

Connection to the College wireless network is available in the Library. Anyone can connect to the network without credentials; however, access will be limited to the SCC website only.[Source: SCC Wireless FAQs]

Computers are equipped with a DVD drive and USB ports; computer work should be saved to the library user's personal storage medium, e.g., flash drive, cloud technology, etc. The Library is not responsible for any lost or irretrievable user files. By logging on to library computer resources, users agree to the Library Computers Use ​policy.​
