The FFFL was founded by Vince Ferragamo in partnership with Santiago Canyon College. The mission was to create a flag football league that mimics the NFL schedule to bring communities together, whereby young children and young adults could learn, play and enjoy the game. Operated by former NFL stars, these legends, through their direction would establish a “go to” example of developing the all-around athlete, while affording opportunities for other time commitments for other sports. This non-contact league would focus on the mental approach, athleticism, and overall fun of the game.
Important Changes to the League
Due to low enrollment, the Ferragamo Flag Football is no longer a league but will only be conducting clinics moving forward. We will keep the 8-week schedule, but instead of games, we will conduct football clinics. We will have a group of coaches, including NFL alumni and high school coaches that will work on different skills each week. We have found that while some kids are good at running, some passing, and others on defense, very few are skilled in all. These clinics will provide the opportunity to gain experience and develop new skills that can be applied to football as well as other sports. Because we are not a large group, there will be hands on coaching, based on individual needs. We are planning to go for an hour to an hour and a half each week, with no practice days, so your schedule will not be as hectic. The last half hour of each clinic will be a 7 on 7 scrimmage, so they can apply the skills they worked on. Having coached flag football, I know that it is difficult to work on everything during the season. This provides the opportunity for improvement without the pressure of winning a game.
Friday Clinic Schedule: Every Friday, 9/5-10/24 with a possible Superbowl game scheduled for 9/7 (More Info. to come)

All visitors of Ferragamo Flag Football League (FFFL) must abide by the following rules:
1. Verbal or physical abuse of any coach, parent, player or official will not be tolerated.
2. No drugs or alcohol while at games.
3. Please do not try to coach your child during games and practices. We appreciate your input but let us coach during practice and games. We got this!!
4. It is imperative that you respect the officials and their authority during games. They might not always be right, but they are in charge. We will do our best to make sure all officials know the rules and enforce them fairly.
5. Flag football is a non-contact sport. We will make every effort to ensure the rules, and discipline those for flagrant hits and physical rough housing.
6. Above all, please understand that youth sports are played for fun. The game is played for the athletes and not for the adults.
