Philosophy, AA-T

The Associate of Arts in Philosophy for Transfer degree prepares students to transfer to a four-year institution leading to a baccalaureate degree. Successful completion of the transfer degree in Philosophy guarantees the student acceptance to a California State University to pursue a baccalaureate degree. The transfer degree prepares students who plan to teach philosophy, or who plan to study theology or law, and establishes a foundation for graduate studies in the areas of liberal arts, critical theory, international relations, cognitive science and specialized historical studies

If you are applying to a University of California (UC) campus, area 6: Language other than English is required and may need to be added to your education plan. Area 6 may be met by 2+ years of the same language taken in High School with grades of C- or higher.
