College Assistance Migrant Program (CAMP)
Welcome to College Assistance Migrant Program (CAMP) Office
In striving to minimize the educational equity gap amongst a marginalized population
of first-generation students, Santiago Canyon College offers the College Assistance
Migrant Program in order to minimize this gap.
CAMP is a federally funded program authorized under Section 418A of Title IV of the Higher Education Act of 1965 and its purpose is to serve freshmen students or those who have completed less than 24 college credits and come from migrant and seasonal farm working backgrounds. CAMP is also unique in nature as it can also serve students from Santa Ana College who meet eligibility criteria.
Eligible students receive a variety of services, which include academic assistance,
career planning services, and educational support. These benefits serve as a guiding
tool for immediate impact as it allows for breaking systemic barriers that may hinder
these students’ academic and professional goals. Please see the resources below and
inquire if you would like more information.
