Balancing School and Family: We're Here for You

Students with children are defined as any student who has a child under the age of 18 and provides more than half of their financial support, as outlined in Education Code Section 66025.81(b).

At SCC, we support students in balancing school, work, and family as they pursue their academic goals.

Support and Resources Available:

As an SCC student with dependents, you may be eligible for:

• Priority registration to help you access the classes you need.
• Financial aid opportunities: we encourage you to complete the FAFSA to determine your eligibility.
• Specialized support programs on campus and referrals to resources in the greater community.

Lactation Room

RSCCD is committed to supporting lactating individuals across its campuses. Designated lactation rooms are available at various locations, including:

• Santiago Canyon College: SC-116 (Check out key with the Math & Science Division Office: SC-210)
  
• Santa Ana College: VL 211-7, J110-2, and J207
  
• Centennial Education Center: CEFA Room E102
  
• Digital Media Center: Edit #6 (Room 136/103) and EDIT #1 (Room 121)
  
• Orange Education Center: Chapman Storage Room 207-1 and CWPC Room 109
  

These rooms are designed to provide a private, safe, and clean environment for expressing breast milk.
