Eligibility
SHWS is available to currently enrolled creditstudents who have paid the health fee.
Making an Appointment
Call SHWS at (714) 628-4773 to make an appointment for your visit. Appointments are
required for our physicians and clinical psychologists. Walk-ins for nursing are
available on a first come first serve basis.
Services
SHWS treats short-term conditions, for ongoing long-term medical care please refer
to a primary care physician or medical specialist. All services are provided without
charge, except nominal fees for laboratory tests and some medical supplies and procedures.
- First-aid, wound care, joint sprains, eye wash, ear lavage
- Reproductive Health
- Birth Control: PAPs, NuvaRing Rx, Ortho Evra Patch, Depo-Provera, birth control pills, condoms, emergency contraception
- STI testing, HIV testing, UTI testing, pregnancy testing
- Cervical cancer screening
- Family PACT: Income qualified students may qualify for free services
- Physical exams
- Vaccines & Tests
- Influenza
- Tetanus, Diphtheria, Pertussis - TDaP

If you already have an upcoming existing therapy appointment with SCC Student Health,
you can access your visit with your unique visit Zoom link here: shs.sccollege.edu.
Please log in using your campus email and password.
If you need a quiet room to meet with your therapist over zoom, please visit the SCC Library to create a room reservation. We strongly encourage you to make the reservation starting
30 minutes before you appointment and ending 30 minutes after your appointment is
set to end to ensure you have the room for the entire session.
Santiago Canyon College Student Health & Wellness Services and the Staff is legally required to protect the privacy of your Personal Health Information (PHI). This includes information that can be used to identify you which SHWS has created or received about your past, present, or future health or condition, the provision of health care to you, or the payment for such health care.

Upon your medical visit at SHWS, you will fill out a general consent for treatment.

For minors seeking medical treatment, a guardian or parent must fill out the Consent for Treatment Form
About
Family Planning, Access, Care, Treatment (PACT) is a California Department of Public
Health Medi-Cal Program. SCC has been an approved Family PACT provider since November
2014. Services support income-qualified students receive health information, counseling,
and family planning services reduce the likelihood of unintended pregnancy and mainta
optimal reproductive health. Visit: Family PACT or Student Health for more information.
Eligibility
- Income qualified: Making less than $2023 per month
- California resident
- Paid the $23 SCC health fee
- Insurance requirements:
- No current insurance (OR)
- If you have insurance through your parents but you want services to remain confidential.
- *If you already have MediCal or CalOptima, then you are not elgible for Family PACT. However, you are still eligible to be seen by a nurse or Doctor at SCC Student Health.
