Holocaust Remembrance
From 1938 to 1945, NAZI Germany committed genocide in an attempt to eradicate as many Jews as possible: the Holocaust. In the end, the NAZIs slaughtered 6 million Jews and 5 million other individuals the NAZI considered undesirable: LGBTQ, physically disabled, Roma, and Soviet Soldiers. Today, 80 years later, there are many people who believe that the Holocaust did not occur. Such a belief must be fought against. As Elie Wiesel stated, “To forget the dead would be akin to killing them a second time.”
