Medical Assistant
The Medical Assistant Certificate is designed to provide the hands-on training, practical experience, and industry support it takes to pursue a professional healthcare career. The program includes practical, real-world experience working with knowledgeable medical professionals and making important industry connections. An emphasis is placed on preparing the student to pass the examination to become a Registered Medical Assistant (RMA).

- VMED-024, Human Diseases and Disorders for Medical Assistants (60 Hrs)
- WKPR-500, Workforce Readiness
GROUP 2 - Course Requirements (SPRING 2026)
(Must complete group 1 courses prior to enrolling in courses below)
- VMED-022, Business Procedures for Medical Assistants (180 Hrs)
- VMED-025, Clinical Procedures for Medical Assistants (120 Hrs)
GROUP 3 - Course Requirements (SUMMER 2026)
(Must complete VMED-020 and group 1 & 2 courses prior to enrolling in courses below)
- VMED-026, Surgical Assisting for Medical Assistants (90 Hrs)
GROUP 4 – Course Requirements (FALL 2026)
(Must complete group 1, 2 & 3 courses prior to enrolling in courses below)
