Community Health Worker
The Community Health Worker Certificate prepares students for entry level work as Community Health Workers, frontline public health professionals who support individuals and families while serving as a bridge between communities and health and social service systems. Students learn to understand community health needs, communicate effectively with clients, and connect individuals to appropriate resources and services. The certificate develops core Community Health Worker skills, including communication and interpersonal skills; outreach and advocacy; service coordination and navigation; individual and community assessment; health education and facilitation; professional conduct; basic evaluation skills; and foundational knowledge of health topics.
TOTAL HOURS OF INSTRUCTION: 48 - 72 HOURS
