Nurse Assistant Career Preparation

The Nursing Assistant Career Preparation Certificate provides the theoretical knowledge and required instructional hours set by the California Department of Public Health (CDPH). Through a supportive approach integrating adult education, literacy, and workforce readiness, the program prepares students to transition into clinical training and pursue nursing assistant certification.

Course Requirements

VMED 012 - Nursing Assistant Theory (90 Hrs)

ESL 801 - ESL for Patient Care Skills (64-96 Hrs)

VMED 110 - BLS/CPR for Healthcare Professionals (8 Hrs)

COMPLETE AT LEAST (1) OF THE FOLLOWING:

WKPR 504 - CNA Test Preparation (6-36 Hrs)

VMED 013 - Nursing Assistant Skills Practice (8-90 Hrs)

TOTAL HOURS OF INSTRUCTION: 168-320 HOURS
